At the Goldminers Daughter, commonly referred to as the GMD patio. We would love to have everyone together for meeting & mingling. This evening serves as a fun gathering to kick off the wedding weekend. In true Alta fashion we hope you wear denim or something sparkly to enjoy the night in. All guests welcome to this event, this is kid friendly if you want to bring littles to sparkle with. There will be heavy appetizers and drinks throughout the evening. Due to Utah state law, all alcohol served at this venue must be 5% ABV or below. As a result, beer and seltzers will be the only alcoholic beverages available. Unfortunately, wine and liquor cannot be served at the GMD. The celebration will take place off the patio, with both indoor and outdoor spaces available. We plan to spend most of the evening on the patio, which becomes shaded after 6 PM — we recommend bringing a light jacket to stay comfortable.

Attire: Semi-Formal This is an RSVP-only event. We envision guests in classic wedding attire — long dresses and button-down shirts with slacks or suits. The bride and groom will be doing their first look and photos prior to the ceremony so they can enjoy more time celebrating with guests. A beautiful ceremony will begin promptly at 4:15 PM on the Great Lawn, followed by dinner at 5:30 PM in the ballroom. Please note: This is a child free event. & Additional guests will join us for the evening reception only, arriving around 7:00 PM.

Join us in celebrating Mr. & Mrs. Donahue with cake, toasts, and dancing! Please arrive at 6:45 for live music. An open bar will be available until the hosted amount is reached after which, a CASH BAR will be offered. First dances will begin at 7:40 PM in the Ballroom.

Before heading home, swing by the lobby to say a final hello (or goodbye) to the newlyweds. We'll be hanging out and would love to see you one more time before checkout. Coffee is available for purchase at the lodge or feel free to bring your own.

The Alta Lodge serves a delicious all you can eat brunch. The bride and groom highly recommend this experience in the canyon & invite you to join them. Please note this is not a formal wedding activity. Reservations must be made directly with the restaurant if you wish to attend. Bride & Groom plan to be there at 11:45.
